- Throwback to old-school point-and-click adventures
- Pixel-art visuals and fully-voiced dialogue
- Supposedly coming to mobile on November 27th
Just in case you’ve been on the edge of your seat for this one this entire time, you’ll sadly have to wait a tad longer before The Abandoned Planet launches. While we initially covered its release date to be on November 5th, Snapbreak Games has moved up the expected release date to November 27th on the App Store, which means it’ll be a few more weeks before you can find your way back home from a wormhole in outer space.
In The Abandoned Planet, you can look forward to a vibrant point-and-click adventure where you’ll traverse the vast interstellar unknown to find your way back from a distant planet. The appeal here, at least to me, is that it’s got a lovely pixel-art aesthetic – a wonderful throwback to similar experiences from way back when. It’s also fully voiced in English, so the immersion is likely to be top-notch.
I personally had an absolute blast playing through Lost in Play by Snapbreak Games as well, so I’m confident this one is going to be an equally entertaining adventure. We also did a hands-on video on Freshly Frosted – another one of the studio’s creations – over at the Pocket Gamer YouTube channel courtesy of Scott Westwood, so if you’re hungering for a wholesome treat, you can give it a look!
In the meantime, if you’re eager to join in on all the fun, you can do so by checking out The Abandoned Planet on Google Play and the App Store. It’s free-to-play with in-app purchases.
