While some people may be trick-or-treating, watching scary films and generally feeling the Halloween spirit, around the world others are going to be gaming at the very highest level. And that’s because Krafton’s PUBG Mobile Global Championship is once more being held, with the League stage set to commence on October 31st.
The League Stage will see 48 teams from around the globe battling for dominance, but only 15 will progress to the finals stage being held at the ExCeL Center in London. But the competition isn’t without warrant as there’s a humungous $3m prize pool on the line for the winner to take the lion’s share of!
Being the first time that the PMGC is being held in the UK, I’m sure we’ll be watching closely to see how well the event does. Big money, big challenges
While we don’t usually cover much in the way of esports you’d be hard-pressed to find a game that doesn’t manage to command as much of a presence as PUBG Mobile does. Thanks in part, perhaps, to Epic Games sacrificing Fortnite’s presence on mobile in their battle against Apple and Google, this game has emerged as the dominant force for battle-royale games on mobile.
