- New league announced in India for the PUACL 2025
- Eight esports teams will participate with a $40,000 prize pool
- Winter Open to be held later for everyone
The Pokémon Company has officially launched the India League for the Pokémon Unite Asia Champions League (PUACL) 2025, which is pretty significant for the region’s esports scene. Eight of India’s top esports organisations, including GodLike Esports, S8UL Esports, and True Rippers, have joined the league to compete in this first-of-its-kind event in the country.
The PUACL 2025 India League kicks off with its Regular Season on November 16th, running through to January 26th, with matches taking place on weekends. The tournament will feature both a Group Stage and Playoffs, designed to test the skill of these elite teams.
In the Group Stage, teams will battle it out in a single-elimination bracket across seven matchdays, which will determine the seedings for the final knockout rounds. The playoffs on January 26th will see the best of these teams competing for the championship title, along with the chance to represent India at the Pokémon Unite ACL 2025 Offline Final in Japan.
A substantial prize pool of $40,000 is up for grabs, with the champion team receiving $16,000 and other top placements also earning cash prizes. Additionally, Skyesports has been once again chosen as the esports partner, which comes as no surprise since they’ve been collaborating with The Pokémon Company since 2022.

An open-for-all event, the Winter Open, is also on the way, giving all Indian players an opportunity to join in on the action and potentially step into the spotlight. Details on the Winter Open will be released soon, so if you’re eager to show off your skills in this MOBA, make sure you keep an eye out.
