X live Nickelodeon Card Clash lets you collect and battle your favourite childhood characters

  • Nickelodeon Card Clash is a newly-released card battler for iOS
  • It’s also coming to Android, letting you collect and battle your favourite cartoon heroes
  • Spongebob, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and more have all already been added

It seems that nowadays everyone is trying to get in on the card-collecting action. Whether that’s Magic: The Gathering and their frequent multiverse-trotting decks, or the Pokemon TCG Pocket adaptation proving to be a major hit. And the latest to do so is Nickelodeon, as they bring iconic cartoon heroes to mobile with Nickelodeon Card Clash!

As you might’ve guessed from, well, everything I’ve just written, Nickelodeon Card Clash is a digital CCG where you battle it out using iconic (and not-so-iconic) characters from across the cartoon vault of the Nickelodeon channel. From Shredder and Spongebob to Foot Clan Ninjas and Mermaidman, there’s no shortage of goons and champions to collect.

Nickelodeon Card Clash also boasts its own Adventure Mode to play through, as well as multiplayer PvP so you can pit your deck against your friend’s. There are regular rewards, updates and plenty of gorgeous card art that developers Monumental seem hopeful will bring in the fans.

For only a nickel

I admit I’m not totally sold on Nickelodeon Card Clash. While these individual franchises are well known I’m not sure anyone has ever associated anything except maybe Spongebob itself as being part of some speculative “Nickelodeonverse”. That and claiming you’ll love it whether you’re a devoted fan or “Meme lord” as the description on Google Play says smacks a little of being self-conscious. Still, for fans of these nostalgic cartoons or those looking for a new CCG to sink their time into, this may be a worthy addition to their lineup.
