X live Marvel: Contest of Champions to debut two new champions as part of tenth-anniversary celebrations

  • Marvel Contest of Champions is still celebrating its tenth anniversary
  • And two new highly-anticipated champions are being added soon
  • Alison Blaire (Dazzler) and Spiral are both set to join the contest

With Marvel continuing to chug along as the pop-culture juggernaut it is, it’s little surprise that Marvel Contest of Champions, Kabam’s mobile ARPG, is still celebrating its tenth anniversary. And if you were waiting to see what was coming next, there are two exciting additions for X-fans right around the corner!

The first is a recognisable face who’s dipped in and out of the X-men over the years, as Alison Blaire (Dazzler) funks it up. This mutant with the ability to manipulate light was created to capitalise on the disco frenzy of the seventies, but has endured will beyond to be an iconic fan-favourite of the X-men franchise.

Meanwhile, a more obscure but no less beloved character joins the fray with Spiral. This six-armed mutant serves Mojo, the otherworldy TV mogul who’s spent most of his time tormenting the X-men and exploiting them for dramatic reality television. Spiral is a deadly opponent for any of the X-men and a worthy addition to the team!

Dazzler will be getting her own focus event with the upcoming Sparkle and Shine quest arriving soon. This’ll see Dazzler and Spiral duke it out as Manhattan becomes the latest setting for Mojo’s maniacal television filming. Meanwhile, part one of the new Chrono-versary side quest is also set to debut as part of this update!

If you’re looking to jump back into Contest of Champions ahead of this update, don’t go in empty-handed! Instead, why not take a look at our list of the best characters in Marvel Contest of Champions ranked class by class!

Better yet, if you’re looking to try something new, we might humbly suggest the hit MOBA from Tencent, Honor of Kings. Nothing to do with the fact we’re running a giveaway for it of course, but if you do decide to check it out, there’s no harm in giving it a gander either!
