X live High Seas Hero is a brand new battleship sim from Century Games, now in pre-registration

  • High Seas Hero is a new battleship simulation from Century Games
  • Build and upgrade your own ship, train your crew and duke it out on the high seas
  • Now in pre-registration for iOS and Android!

Sure, rising sea levels and a warming climate may be a bit worrying, but at least we’re surely not far from living out our Kevin Costner Waterworld (1995) fantasies. Right? Well, Century Games doesn’t want us to wait that long, as their latest release High Seas Hero is already in pre-registration for Android and iOS!

Taking you to a not-so-distant future where rising sea levels have covered the land, you will command, build and upgrade your own personal battleship. You’ll need to contend not only with hordes of enemies and powerful bosses but also with the environment itself as you work to shield your crew from the elements.

Formerly known as Battleship Brawl, High Seas Hero looks to be chugging towards a full release sometime soon especially since now is the time that Century Games chose to unlock pre-registration.

Frozen seas

Eagle-eyed viewers will of course recognise Century Games from their publishing of the Frostpunk-like Whiteout Survival, which takes you to an equally inhospitable climate and has you work to survive a frozen ice age. Fortunately, High Seas Hero looks to be a little less chilly, even if surviving the elements is still going to be a major factor.

I’ll admit I do like the look of High Seas Hero, mainly because like many good mobile games it reminds me of the ye olden times and Adobe Flash. The kind of quick, casual and fun releases you got in that time have gone on to inspire what are (in my opinion) some of the best mobile games.
