We have compared all of the classes and sub-classes in Flame of Valhalla, so you’ll know which one suits your playstyle best.
If you want to pick the best class in Flame of Valhalla, that’s no easy feat. To make things simple, all the classes are good – it all depends on your play style and whether or not you play with friends or solo.
In this article, I am going to explain all that you need to know so you can pick the best class for you, and maybe get an idea of what the best overall class would be in the game (just in case you are playing the game solo).
Each class has 3 specialisations
To kick things off, you need to know that each of the classes has 3 sub-classes (specialisations). Each one will focus on a specific skill set and will have different skills. Although they all belong to the same class, each subclass is more tailored towards something – be it damage, support, crowd control or defense.
Whenever you’re picking a class for the first time, you only have access to the first skill set. This will change once you activate Resurrection, which is when you start gaining access to the skills from one of those 3 skill trees.
Unlike in other games, you don’t get to pick a specific sub-class. You choose it by picking its skills, and by farming the Skill Scroll Remnants to level up said skills.
Which is the best class in Flame of Valhalla?
I am going to rank each of the classes here, so you can get a better idea of which one to pick if it’s your first time playing the game.
Tier | Class |
S | Knight, Mage, Astrologer |
A | Dragon Rider |
B | Barbarian, Ranger |
Keep in mind these rankings could differ from person to person. If you are someone who can knock it out of the park as a Ranger, it doesn’t mean the class is bad – it only means the player is that good.
Each player could be good or not-so-good playing a specific class, and it all depends on what you like to play, and how well you can execute that class’ playstyle.
So without further ado, let’s explore each class in a little bit more detail on the following pages.
Knight | Mage | Astrologer
Barbarian | Ranger | Dragon Rider
