ARPG fans who are looking for something new to add to their catalogue will be pleased that Neocraft has opened pre-registration for their upcoming release, Ash Echoes, on both iOS and Android. Slated to launch on November 14th, according to the iOS App Store listing, Ash Echoes is set in a world plagued by a massive interdimensional rift.
While not necessarily as storied as developers like Hoyoverse, you may remember some of Neocraft’s previously published games, like Cyber Rebellion and Immortal Awakening, which we’ve covered on the site. Gameplay-wise what we’ve seen of Ash Echoes doesn’t necessarily mark it as a standout, but if you’ve enjoyed Neocraft’s previous efforts this might offer the fresh take you’re looking for.
In Ash Echoes, you command a team of echomancers, individuals who’ve been given extraordinary powers after the opening of an interdimensional rift above the city of Hailin. You’ll play as the director of S.E.E.D. (Scientific Electronics Experiment and Development) who commands individuals who’ve crossed over into your world through the rift.
Worlds apart
Admittedly, I’m not too sure just how I feel about Ash Echoes. On the one hand, the promotional material does look very well done, but gameplay reveals do little to make me think this is going to be a standout game. Still, that doesn’t mean it looks bad or anything like that, but if you want a turn-based RPG that mixes up the formula just a bit, this may be the game for you; especially if Neocraft’s other games have hit the mark.
