Activision has announced the Call of Duty Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 1 release date, and teased what’s in store for players over the coming months.
Confirming an earlier leak, Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 1 will kick off on November 14.
It promises to add “a colossal amount of free content like all-new Multiplayer maps and modes, a terrifying new in-season Zombies map, as well as the introduction of Omnimovement and Black Ops 6 weapons and Loadout features to Call of Duty: Warzone”.
At launch, players will also be able to dive into new Warzone Resurgence map Area 99. It’s closely tied to the popular multiplayer map Nuketown, which is being added to the game this Friday.
“Also set in the Nevada desert, this top-secret government site is just miles away from the original Nuketown location,” Activision said. “See where it all began by exploring the mannequin assembly plant, the factory warehouse including pieces of the Nuketown homes in development, and much more”.
Black Ops 6’s first content drop launched today with the launch of the Infected multiplayer mode.
“For new and returning players, an Infected match begins with one player randomly assigned as the starting infected. The infected player’s goal is to eliminate all other players.
“Each time a survivor is eliminated, they will join the ranks of the undead, while the remaining survivors must keep the horde at bay until the match timer runs out.”
